We're on a mission to modernize finance for construction, an industry that employs 1 out of every 10 workers, but lacks good software tools to get the job done. Payments in construction are fundamentally broken — the antiquated billing process hasn't evolved in decades, and construction is one of the slowest industries to get paid in. We've found a unique wedge into this huge market and are growing quickly.

Millions of hardworking people are affected by this broken system — in turn making construction more expensive and inefficient for society every year. When everyone up and down the chain is on the same page with payments, contractors can focus on actually building, instead of mountains of paperwork. We’re reimagining construction finance to help contractors get paid, grow their business, and build a better future for all of us.
 
🕺 The Role
 
As Siteline's first Head of Marketing, you'll accelerate customer growth and revenue in concert with the Sales and Construction Solutions teams. As the founding leader of the marketing org, you'll also set the tone and culture of the organization for years to come.
 
In your first year, you can expect to hire 2-3 full-time marketers (plus contractors as needed) who complement your strengths. For example, if you're a growth marketing expert, you'll be responsible for growth marketing as well as overall marketing strategy, and additionally build out a team that will be responsible for product and content marketing. If you're a product marketer, you'll be responsible for product marketing as well as overall marketing strategy, and hire growth and content marketers. We'll continue to expand the marketing team as we reach new business milestones.

🎒 Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Develop and implement a marketing strategy to exceed revenue targets and expand customer base. Identify and plan marketing strategies to drive demand, acquire and retain customers.
  • Team Leader & Player/Coach: Build and lead a high-performing team of marketers who are strategic leaders and execution machines, and who can act as organizational drivers.
  • Demand Gen: Define KPIs, refine outbound marketing strategy, and create marketing campaigns to drive highly qualified leads. Create sales enablement resources and collateral, including case studies and videos. Own strategic prioritization of marketing website. You'll
  • Product Marketing: Develop a deep understanding of our core user personas, the language they use, and where they spend time. Create and relentlessly push our category-of-one. Hone in on the right positioning and messaging to create wins within our segment.
  • Brand Marketing: Leverage Siteline's position as a category creator and build a brand which stands out from the crowd. Champion the voice of the customer above all else.
  • Events Marketing: Collaborate with Construction Solutions on trade shows, conferences, and events.
  • Operations: Oversee the creation of reports and key marketing metrics. Evaluate the marketing tool stack and adopt new tools to maximize leverage.
  • Visibility: Effectively communicate key successes, challenges, and pipeline to the team.

👀 What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in progressively senior marketing leadership roles within B2B SaaS, preferably with experience marketing to commercial construction.
  • Startup ethos: 2+ years in a fast-paced startup environment, and excitement to do it again. You're nimble, high-velocity, take initiative, and do whatever it takes.
  • T-shaped marketer: You're an expert in 1 functional area of marketing, and proficient in another.
  • Strong metrics orientation with a proven methodology to set achievable goals, regularly measure productivity/progress, and adjust in real-time.
  • Collaborative team player with an optimistic demeanor. You'll be working closely with Sales, Construction Solutions, Design, Product Management, and the CEO.
  • Management experience: Track record of successfully managing other marketers.
  • Tools: Knowledge of MAPs, email automation platforms, website building platforms, and other tools.
