Allow us to introduce ourselves…

 

Tastenote was born in 2021 during a time when restaurants were struggling to survive. We were broken-hearted to see our beloved restaurants close, but also realized how underprepared restaurants were in this new digital world.

 

We thus embarked on a mission to build products to help restaurants better adapt digitally and also maintain their personal touch with customers via video technology. Our first product - a video menu - was an immediate hit in NYC, beloved by our marquee partners (like Ivan Ramen) and customers alike. The upcoming product is going to be even more impactful and exciting.

 

Our founding team came from companies like Uber Eats, Lyft, and Verishop. Our backers / investors have invested in iconic companies like Instacart and Square. Our root in restaurant & logistics makes us grounded and humble, but our exposure to tech and next-gen eCommerce pushes us to dream mostly wildly about how to revolutionize the way restaurants can sell to customers.

What you will live and breathe…

 

In this role, you will be spearheading and owning everything marketing-, growth- and brand-related to gear up towards our new product launch and supercharge growth post-launch. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities include:

 

  • Work closely with the founding team and advise on the company’s strategy
  • Refine marketing strategy and value props as we continue to talk to customers and experiment
  • Develop core brand identity and voice
  • Execute on marketing strategy and manage priority channels (e.g. social, partnership, PR)
  • Analyze marketing campaigns and experiments quantitatively and iterate on strategy
  • Closely follow the restaurant scene in NYC and customer trends
  • Be the source of creativity on the founding team and always try to think out of the box

What you can bring to the table…

 

We don’t need the number on your resume to prove your value to us. All we are looking for is your well-rounded intellectual power (both book & street-smart), your hunger to learn and grow, and your readiness to hustle.

 

Some past experiences that might help you do your job well:

 

  • 5+ years of work experience in banking, consulting, high-growth tech companies or other similar backgrounds
  • 2+ years of work experience in B2C growth marketing or similar functions (not B2B)
  • Foodie by heart, and well-versed in consumer trends and pop culture
  • Hyper analytical, and ability to crunch numbers to make quick decisions
  • Experience of building something from the ground up is a plus
  • Experience of “hype” marketing (e.g. for an event, for a drop) is a plus
  • Experience of video production and journalism is a plus
  • Network in the restaurant space in NYC is a plus
