🏗 What problems are we solving?

We're on a mission to modernize finance for construction, an industry that employs 1 out of every 10 workers, but lacks good software tools to get the job done. Payments in construction are fundamentally broken — the antiquated billing process hasn't evolved in decades, and construction is one of the slowest industries to get paid in. We've found a unique wedge into this huge market and are growing quickly.

🔨 Why are we building this?

Millions of hardworking people are affected by this broken system — in turn making construction more expensive and inefficient for society every year. When everyone up and down the chain is on the same page with payments, contractors can focus on actually building, instead of mountains of paperwork. We’re reimagining construction finance to help contractors get paid, grow their business, and build a better future for all of us.

🕺 The Role

The Product Marketing Manager represents the customer's voice in go-to-market strategy decisions. In short, you will ensure that the right audience gets the right message through the right channels.

In this role, you will be a key partner to both the Product and Sales organizations, helping to translate who we are, what we do, and who we’re for in a way that drives growth.

🎒 Responsibilities

  • Customer Insights: Be the voice of the customer and trusted advisor as to how current and future customers’ needs inform product messaging, brand differentiation, marketing content and collateral.
  • Messaging & Positioning: Be the expert in product positioning, value propositions and foundational messaging to be used in product development and marketing campaigns. Focus on the right ICP and messaging to win in our segment.
  • Sales Enablement: Partner closely with the sales team to develop compelling marketing collateral including presentations, one-pagers, case studies, and customer videos.
  • Drive Product Adoption: Develop and lead successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns, ensuring all customer-facing teams are on-message and maximizing each channel.
  • Influence Product Roadmap: Partner with Product Management to influence product strategy and feature roadmap.
  • Metrics: Measure and report against the performance of product marketing initiatives.
  • Competitive Awareness: Keep a pulse on the competitor landscape, helping our teams stay up to speed on the latest industry trends.

👀 What We're Looking For

  • Experienced: You’ve got 5 years marketing experience, with 3+ years of B2B product marketing, in a high-performing organization.
  • A critical thinker: You love to ask “why?” and are always looking for insights to drive action. You solve from first principles, and prioritize finding what is essential over what is convenient or easy.
  • An exceptional communicator: No matter the format, you specialize in synthesizing information and making complex things simple. You are concise in your writing, and a confident presenter.
  • Creative problem solver: You were drawn to Product Marketing because it gives you the chance to work across the business. You’re comfortable with startup dynamism and being a generalist, and you pride yourself on your ability to ramp on projects quickly and deliver results.
  • A driver: You are a skilled project manager who can manage multiple stakeholders across multiple projects and are comfortable operating independently.
  • A researcher-ish: While you needn’t be a full-fledged research professional, you should be comfortable conducting qualitative customer and prospect interviews. Additionally, you’ve got experience generating surveys and analyzing customer data to extract actionable insights.

🍪 Brownie Points

  • Experience marketing to commercial construction contractors
  • Experience in other marketing domains, like growth or events marketing
